| Phillis Nolan (Bowling Equipment) started in 1993. At that time it was difficult for bowlers, especially in southern Ireland, to get a range of equipment and many had to depend on relatives or friends travelling to the north or the UK to get what they wanted. Phillis had just won a second world championship at that time and decided she would use her knowledge of bowling to start selling equipment, particularly bowls. Since that time, she has gone on to win another world championship, three British Isles singles and two British Isles fours. During this time, her knowledge of bowling in different parts of the world and in different conditions increased dramatically. Phillis is happy to share that knowledge with all her customers when they look for advice. The range of bowls on the market now can sometimes cause confusion so it is nice to have independent advice on what bowls to use and the type of footwear suitable for local conditions. |
